Gearbox Teases Next Borderlands 2 DLC, It’s Torgue Time

Borderlands 2 psycho header

Keen eyed Borderlands 2 players may have already noticed that the last patch for the game added trophies for a DLC pack called Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage. Other than this bit of evidence, Gearbox was completely mum on any details regarding the follow-up to the Captain Scarlet DLC. Well that silence may finally be broken.

Gearbox had previously created a Twitter account for Gaige the Mechromancer, prior to releasing her as a downloadable character. After her release however, the account went silent. Now, just over a month later, her account has become active again today with the following post:

Hey g*uys! Sorr#y for the lack of upd%ates lately. My ECHO com’s been on $the friTz. I thin^ some)_’s tr#4ng to h/*ck it

Gearbox also tweeted that it was “probably worth keeping an eye on” Gaige’s account. Fifteen minutes later Gaige’s account was renamed MISTER TORGUE, and we were graced with this tweet:

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH IT’S TORGUE TIME BITCHES

Mr Torgue Borderlands 2

Mister Torgue has posted a few comical statuses since, right in line withBorderlands 2‘s humor. He goes so far as to call out the need for “…NEW PUNCTUATION THAT LOOKS LIKE AN EXPLOSION CAUSE PERIODS ARE TOO CALM AND EXCLAMATION MARKS LOOK LIKE AN UPSIDE DOWN LOWER CASE I”, and to say that “LOWERCASE IS FOR PUSSIES”.

He does specifically mention the name of the new DLC pack as well.

ARE YOU A BADASS ENOUGH BADASS TO SURVIVE “MISTER TORGUE’S CAMPAIGN OF CARNAGE”? I’M LEGIT CURIOUS CAUSE I DUNNO YOU THAT WELL#BADASSITUDE

— MISTER TORGUE

There is no word concerning when we can expect to take part in the badassery that Mr. Torgue is asserting his Campaign of Carnage to be, but you can be sure that it’s not too far off now. Are you excited to continue your adventures on Pandora? What new features would you like to see Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage add?
