New Uncharted game coming to PlayStation 4

Videos: Naughty Dog’s PS4 game will be a new adventure; Bungie announces PS4 to get Destiny beta first

New Uncharted game coming to PlayStation 4

At tonight’s PlayStation 4 All Access event, Naughty Dog announced that their first PlayStation 4 game is a new installment in the Uncharted franchise.

The teaser trailer was light on actual news, but Naughty Dog’s Amy Hennig provided a bit more information on the official PlayStation blog.

“We have great news for all our Uncharted fans – Amy, Justin, and the team are hard at work on an amazing new installment of the Uncharted series to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 system,” wrote Hennig. “Our goal is to continue what we’ve done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4. We can confirm that the voiceover is performed by Todd Stashwick and he will play a character in the game.”

Elsewhere, Halo-creator Bungie announced that the beta for online shooter Destiny will be open first to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 owners, and released new in-game footage of the highly anticipated title, which you can see below.

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky sequel finally coming stateside via XSeed

After a few Twitter-based teases, XSeed games has announced that Nihon Falcom’s RPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter is on its way to North America as a PSN download for PSP (Vita compatible). The new game, as well as its predecessor, will also become available on PC via Steam. This makes sense, as they were both PC games originally.

No specific release dates have been set for these projects. The Steam version of the original Trails in the Sky is expected this winter, while the sequel is set to come at an unspecified time in 2014.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky was met with love when it arrived on North American PSPs two years ago. Unfortunately, the games in this series have quite a bit of text, and translating it is notoriously hard; this severely limited the progress that a small company like XSeed could realistically make on such a project. To the stated delight of the loyal fans and XSeed staff members alike, the long wait is finally coming to an end.

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus PlayStation Vita Bundle Listed by Amazon, Dated for November 6th

Well, isn’t this interesting? After Amazon France previously listed Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus for PlayStation Vita following the original game announcement, they quickly took it down, something that could’ve easily been seen as an error, rather than a confirmation that it’s coming to Vita, along with the PS3 version.

Now, though, Amazon France has added a listing for a Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus (just known as Nexus in Europe) PlayStation Vita Bundle with a 4GB Memory Card for EUR199.99 and a release date of November 6th. Though there still isn’t any official confirmation (or even a hint) from Sony that Nexus is coming to PlayStation Vita, this adds some fuel to the fire.

As for other PlayStation Vita bundles, Amazon France also lists a 3G Mega Pack PlayStation Vita Bundle with Disney Voucher and 8GB Memory Card for October 2nd, an Invizimals bundle for October 29th, and they have put up a product page for Football Manager Classic 2014 on Vita, giving it a tentative October 1st release date.
